Position Basics | • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of a personalized, professional guest experience expected of a world class butler service on board. • Makes contact with guests, upon arrival, to ensure a customized service experience. Assists guests with all needs throughout their stay to include, assures reservations are made for various amenities, provides concierge type of services, assists in day-to-day needs, accompany guests on excursions if requested. • Supervise the Butler team's operation daily, providing on the spot training and coaching. • Monitor compliance with Standard Procedures and MSC Butler standards through Suite and VIP areas daily checks. • Observe Guests routine to anticipate needs and providing detailed service ensuring Guests total satisfaction. |
Experience Required | Minimum of three years in Head Butler, Butler or Supervising position - preferable the majority of that timeon Cruise Ships. |
Responsibilities |
For this position, your requirements are: 1. **Guest Greeting:** Greet guests professionally with discreet courtesy in their language. 2. **Farewell:** Say goodbye to guests. 3. **Returning Guests:** Greet returning guests with their names on subsequent visits. 4. **Service Improvement:** React pro-actively to make continuous improvements for butler service. 5. **Preference Tracking:** Set up systems to track guests' preferences. 6. **Discretion:** Be discreet and low key at all times. 7. **Addressing People:** Address people with or without titles. 8. **Butler Supervision:** Supervise the setup and scheduling of butlers for breakfast, lunch, or dinner in the Topsail Lounge. 9. **Room Service Supervision:** Oversee room service delivery to suites. 10. **Food and Beverage Service:** Supervise food and beverage service at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. 11. **Private Parties:** Supervise private parties in suites or the Topsail Lounge. 12. **Sanitation Standards:** Ensure that food sanitation standards are maintained at all times. 13. **Complaint Handling:** Address and resolve any complaints promptly to avoid further issues. 14. **Service Quality:** Be stylish and provide superb service to every guest. 15. **Suite Presentation:** Supervise and, if necessary, participate in cleaning and presenting suites according to MSC Yacht Club Standards. **Additional Skills:** - Excellent social and communication skills. - Refined manners and etiquette. - Organizational and management skills. - Initiative, dependability, and good judgment. - Diplomacy, tact, and discretion. - Good knowledge of wines, spirits, and food. - Ability to effectively train and coach butlers. |
