Position Basics | Responsible to assign and supervise the activities of the Cabin Stewards/State Room Attendants. To ensure clean orderly, attractive and well maintained Guest rooms, corridors, service areas on the assigned floor/areas Assist the Assistant Housekeeping Manager in charge of the cabins Area Prepares daily worksheets for Cabin Stewards/State Room Attendants Assigns special daily, weekly and monthly duties to your Team Ensure Policies and Procedure standards are in compliance Inspect assigned areas Responsible for supervising a Team of Cabin Stewards/ State Room Attendants Responsible for the cleanliness of Guest rooms, corridors and service areas Ensure Guests Satisfaction is exceeding their expectations Carry out lost and found procedures Report maintenance issues to Maintenance/Engineering Department Organizes effective Trainings to the Team, Attend meeting organized by the Assistant Housekeeping Manager ,Housekeeping Manager Maintains good working relationships with the other Departments Issues supplies and equipment to workers Records data regarding work assignments, personnel actions, time cards, and prepares periodic reports Investigates complaints regarding Housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action Ensure the Housekeeping Crew is working in compliance with MLC Evaluate the Team assigned |
Experience Required | - Hotel Management School - Experience in a similar role in Hotel – Cruise Industry - Good oral and written communication - Good interpersonal skills - Good knowledge of sanitation - Good knowledge of cleaning techniques - Ability to work independently or in teams - Excellent attention to detail - Positive attitude - IT proficient - Able to use Fidelio and MMS Inventory Management System - Documented experience in a similar position on board a cruise vessel or in a similar resort or hotel |
Responsibilities |
- Prepares daily worksheets for Cabin Stewards/State Room Attendants - Assigns special daily, weekly, and monthly duties to Cabin Stewards/State Room Attendants on assigned working station - Assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating policies and procedure standards within the Housekeeping Department to ensure optimum Guest satisfaction - Inspects Guestrooms daily to ensure excellent standards; checks that furnishings and equipment are clean, in good repair, and replaced or refurbished as required - Responsible for the smooth operation of the assigned floor - Supervises Cabin Stewards/State Room Attendants - Organizes and facilitates the room making process – Seven Steps - Responsible for the cleanliness of Guest rooms, corridors, and service areas - Ensures that the entire operation is performed as per MSC Housekeeping standards - Achieves positive outcomes from Guest queries in a timely and efficient manner - Carries out lost and found procedures - Reports maintenance issues to Maintenance/Engineering Department - Organizes effective training for each individual of his/her team - Coaches each individual of his/her team following the action plan developed with the Travelling Housekeeping Training Manager - Maintains good working relationships with other Departments - Issues supplies and equipment to workers - Records data regarding work assignments, personnel actions, time cards, and prepares periodic reports - Investigates complaints regarding Housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action - Ensures the Housekeeping Crew is working in compliance with MLC |
